I love Japan and take pride in its cultural heritage. 海外に住んで10年以上が経ちました。
日本の文化が大好きで、誇りに思っています。でも、いざ日本の要素を取り入れた服を探してみると、どこかしっくりこない。よくある和柄のデザインは、古臭かったり、チープに見えたり。逆に素敵なデザインはエレガントすぎて、普段着には向かない。
だからこそ生まれたのが、Atelier Ukiyoe です。
日本の伝統的な 浮世絵 (ukiyo-e) を現代的なデザインに落とし込み、洗練された日常のファッションとして楽しめるようにしました。伝統とモダンのバランスを大切にし、どこにいても自然に馴染む、それでいて特別な一枚を届けます。
